Who owns the data collected?

For the operation of the website, we use the following processors, who process your personal data on our behalf.

The website is hosted on behalf of Swiss Post Cargo by Vercel Inc., a company based in California, USA, on AWS Cloud servers located in Frankfurt, Germany. Additionally, we use Jotform as our online form tool. This is software owned by the company of the same name, based in California, USA.

We employ the service provider xtendx AG (Tiefenhöfe 5, 8001 Zurich, Switzerland), acting on our behalf, to display video content hosted externally.

What data do we collect?

In principle, our website can be used without you needing to disclose any personal data. As is common practice with many websites, certain data such as IP addresses and other usage information is collected automatically and then analysed and processed anonymously by our web analytics software. Data processing is carried out based on a legitimate interest on our part in the proper operation of the website and the prosecution of any civil or criminal violations resulting from unauthorized use. The other data categories are listed below.

Automatic logging

Our web servers automatically log every visit in a temporary log file. User-specific data (ID address of the computer used, ID data of the browser used, the operating system of the computer used, the quantity of data transmitted, the name of the ISP, the date and time of access) and technical data (the name and URL of the referring website when the website was opened via a link, as well as the search term used when a search engine was used to access the website) are logged and analysed anonymously. This data is needed to enable our content to be used (to establish a connection) and to guarantee technical administration and system security. As part of this process, cookies may be used (see section 4 below).

Additional data processing

When using our contact form, you can decide yourself what data you wish to provide us with. As a rule, we recommend only disclosing personal data we require to provide the services we offer. The information you provide us with will be recorded in the IT systems of Swiss Post Cargo Holding Ltd or our service provider. The data is used exclusively to process your request (preparing quotations, contact by the customer service department, etc.).

To use the customer login, you also need to log in with the correct access details, which you will have received separately with the contractual documents.
